These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StoreSteady website, scanner, and optional Shopify app, operated by Caleb Carter ("we," "us," "our"). By using StoreSteady, you ("Merchant," "you") agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
StoreSteady helps merchants understand how AI shopping agents interpret their public storefronts. The service includes:
You may use the public scanner without installing the Shopify app. Installing the app is optional and unlocks deeper catalog-side diagnosis.
2. Eligibility
You must have the legal authority to use StoreSteady and, where applicable, the authority to use the Shopify store or payment method associated with your account. You must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction.
3. Account and Access
3.1 Free Snapshot
Free Snapshot does not require payment. We may request an email address so we can send a verification code and deliver full report access.
3.2 Pro Scan and Scanner Pro Monthly
Pro Scan and Scanner Pro Monthly require a completed scan, email access, and payment through Stripe.
3.3 Optional Shopify app install
The Shopify app is optional and separate from the public scanner. You can install it from your Shopify admin when you want deeper catalog-side diagnosis.
4. Pricing and Billing
StoreSteady offers the following pricing:
Prices are shown in USD unless noted otherwise. We may change prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not apply retroactively to an already purchased period.
4.1 Auto-Renewal
Scanner Pro Monthly is a recurring subscription that automatically renews each month until canceled. You can cancel future billing from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
5. Refund Policy
All sales are final. No refunds.
If you believe a charge was made in error, contact support@storesteady.com and we will review the issue with you.
6. Access and Entitlements
Pro Scan includes access to the report and evidence video for the purchase window and any included rescans shown at checkout.
Scanner Pro Monthly includes recurring scans while the subscription is active. Entitlements do not roll over.
7. Acceptable Use
You may only scan URLs you own or have permission to scan. By submitting, you confirm you have a good-faith reason to evaluate that storefront and that you will use the resulting report only for permitted purposes.
Merchants whose storefronts appear in a public StoreSteady scan may contact support@storesteady.com. We respond within 5 business days.
You may not use StoreSteady to harass, disrupt, or exploit third parties, to access non-public pages, to bypass authentication or bot protections on storefronts, or to violate any applicable law or platform terms.
You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or sublicense StoreSteady without our written permission.
8. Data Ownership
You retain ownership of your data. You grant StoreSteady a limited license to scan, store, and analyze your data solely to provide the service and improve the product in aggregate form.
9. Service Availability
StoreSteady is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or a particular outcome from any scan or report. Third-party services such as Stripe, Supabase, Vercel, Browserless, and Shopify may also affect availability.
10. Intellectual Property
StoreSteady, including its code, design, workflows, and documentation, remains our property and is protected by intellectual property laws.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoreSteady is provided "as is" and "as available." We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to StoreSteady in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, or damages arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
13. Termination
You may stop using StoreSteady at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if your store is suspended, or if continued service would expose us to legal or security risk.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
