You do not need a Shopify connection to run StoreSteady scans. The public scan reads your storefront the way AI shopping agents do — connecting Shopify is for going beyond what the public storefront exposes.

What the connection unlocks

StoreSteady reads your Shopify catalog, policy, and discount data so it can compare what the admin says against what your storefront publishes and what AI agents read.

With the connection in place, StoreSteady can detect where admin truth diverges from the public storefront, and some fixes become safe to apply automatically.

What to expect

1. Authorize StoreSteady to read product, policy, and discount data — no customer, payment, or order access.
2. Run your next scan with admin data included alongside the public-storefront view.
3. Review the cross-system conflicts the connected scan surfaces and approve any auto-fixes.
